Senior Home Care Finder ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who else touches your information when you visit this site.
Information we collect
- Form submissions. If you fill out our contact form or agency-submission form, we receive whatever you entered — typically a name, email, and a message or agency details. These submissions are delivered through Netlify Forms.
- Analytics data. Google Analytics logs anonymized information about pages visited, time on page, approximate location (country/region), and referring source. It does not collect personally identifiable information from you directly.
- Cookies. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set cookies to measure traffic and serve advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google's ad settings.
How we source agency listings
Most agency listings are compiled from public sources — Google Business Profile, state licensing registries, Medicare Care Compare, and direct submissions from agencies. We don't collect personal data from families in the course of building the directory. If your agency is listed and you want it removed, contact us.
What we use the information for
- To respond to your inquiries and follow up on form submissions.
- To understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., which guides are read most) so we can prioritize writing.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Agency submissions are reviewed internally before listings are published.
Third-party services
- Netlify hosts the site and processes form submissions.
- Airtable stores our agency and blog-post data.
- Google Analytics provides anonymized traffic data.
- Google AdSense serves display advertising.
Each of these has its own privacy policy. We don't control what they do with data once it reaches them.
Data retention
Form submissions are kept as long as they're useful for corresponding with you or maintaining directory accuracy. Analytics data is retained according to Google's default settings (currently 14 months).
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to delete your submission or correct it. Email us through the contact form with "Privacy request" in the subject line.
Data security
We use reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
