A directory, built the way we'd want one for a parent.
Senior Home Care Finder is an independent directory of in-home care agencies across the United States. We don't take placement fees, we don't sell leads, and we're not a medical-advice site. We're a place to start when a family needs help at home.
Why this exists
Most home care directories are lead-generation funnels dressed up as public resources. You search for an agency, get asked for your phone number, and three agencies call you the same afternoon — because the directory sold your information to them.
This site is not that. Families find an agency, see the agency's real phone number, and call directly. The agencies don't pay to appear, and we don't know which ones you called.
What you'll find here
- A comprehensive state-by-state directory of in-home care agencies with contact details, services offered, and — where available — Medicare certification and state license numbers.
- Guides written in plain English on paying for care, how to vet an agency, what Medicare does and doesn't cover, and how to tell a good caregiver from a bad one.
- Pointers to authoritative sources: Medicare Care Compare for quality ratings, your state's home-care licensing board for credentials, the Joint Commission and CHAP for accreditation.
What we don't do
- We don't take payment from agencies for listings or placement. There's no "featured" tier you can buy.
- We don't sell your contact information. Nothing you do on this site generates a lead that gets passed to an agency.
- We're not a medical-advice site. For care decisions, talk to a doctor, geriatric care manager, or discharge planner.
- We're not a substitute for checking an agency's license and references yourself. Every agency page has a checklist for how to do that.
The story behind this site
Senior Home Care Finder was built by Kevin Collins, inspired by his family's experience with hospice care for his father — a WWII Navy veteran who battled cancer in 1988 — and again for his mother eleven years later. Those experiences showed him firsthand how the right home care can bring comfort and dignity to families during their most difficult days.
The site is not a medical-advice service and Kevin is not a healthcare professional. He built the directory because the existing ones are broken for families trying to find real agencies without handing over their phone number first.
How listings get added
Agencies can submit a listing. Every submission is reviewed before it goes live — usually within a week. We verify the basics (the agency exists, the phone number works, the website is theirs) and confirm anything that would be misleading if wrong (state license number, Medicare certification, service area).
If a listing has a factual error — wrong phone, wrong services, out-of-business — tell us and we'll fix it. If you're an agency and want to be removed from the directory, tell us that too.
How the site makes money
Display ads through Google AdSense. No affiliate deals. No referral fees from agencies. No paid placements. That's the whole model.
